hunter
Winner of the 2015 'Most innovative use of fabric' awarded by Ecco Ireland.
My collection is inspired by the traditional garments worn by Mongolian eagle hunters. The clothing is designed for hunting on mountainous terrain and protecting from the harsh Mongolian weather. With bulky shapes, heavy fabric and its touches of decorative lacing, keeping the idea of the contemporary combined with tradition in the six looks. Using the traditional silhouettes and techniques within the culture and merge them with the contemporary design. Hand woven denim and raw wool, hand dyed amazon linen, leather and overlay tape combine to create a contemporary look.
